Black Friday and Holiday Sale!

Major Goof! I had the sale all set, then with all the bustle of the holiday, I didn't check to see if the sale was on. Well, it wasn't. What a goof. For that reason, I am extending the sale another week, as well as the Buy the Christmas kit and get the paper pack free.

Blogging According to One's Faith

I like to go through Digifree sometimes just to see what's out there. Today I opened a blog that rather surprised me, though I guess it shouldn't. Anyone who has followed my blogs knows that I have made so secret that I am a Christian, that I love and trust my heavenly Father to care for me. I don't believe in hiding my light under a bushel or anything else. Well, back to the blog, which shall remain unnamed, that I came across this morning.

Right at the top in the blog title it proclaims that it is Christian. It has scripture on the page. No problem with that. It's the graphics on there that are startling and so out of place for self-proclaimed Christians. Anybody here remember the Carrie Prejean fiasco? You know, claiming she is a Christian while parading around in a bikini. Then photos and a video that later came to light that made a lot of people smirk about her so-called Christian faith? Well, this blog I'm speaking of is of the same nature. The blog header features two skimpily dressed fairies. Suffice it to say I don't believe in fairies. I scrolled on down the page, and there are more skimpily dressed posers. The Bible has some things to say about nakedness, and it is not positive. I'm not sure what their brand of Christianity is, but it doesn't look like mine. I guess maybe it is postmodern.

I'm sure that this blog post will undoubted gather some criticism for speaking out about that blog. I don't know the people who have it, I don't know anything about them other than what is posted. I cannot judge their Christian experience and am not trying to. I am only commenting on what I see there and how I relate to that as a Bible believing Christian. If you join an organization, whether it be religion or civic or any kind of organization, you first have to agree with the tenets, doctrines, policies, and/or practices of that organization. Christians have always based their faith in the Bible as the word of God. Truly, many people today choose to believe only what they want to believe in the Bible, and many prefer to put their own meanings on its words. Interesting, isn't it, that the Bible even spoke of such actions. Isaiah wrote about those who would put light for darkness and darkness for light, that would call evil good, and good evil. Today, we see those words fulfilled.

I don't want to shove religion into people's faces or down their throats. The thing about a blog is that people can choose to read or not read. If you don't like what I post, you don't have to read it. Many months ago (on my old blog) I posted about pirates being breakers of God's law. It upset someone who let me know in a comment. She declared she was never coming back to read again. That was her choice and her right, just as it is my choice and right to write about my faith in God and my beliefs. Will I be going back to the other blog? I doubt it. If they continue to read and study God's Word, perhaps they will finally see that the graphics they have on their blog are not the best for demonstrating their Christianity. I prefer not to give anyone reason to smirk about my Christianity by being saying one thing but allowing my graphics and my scrap products say something different.

My Biggest, Best Christmas Kit Ever!

It's huge and it's in the store now. Old Fashioned Country Christmas is like a trip to Grandma's for Christmas. It's a kit for those who think country even if they live in a city apartment. It's over the river and through the woods to Grandma's house for an old fashioned country Christmas. Building a snowman in the front yard. Hand sewn stockings to hang on the mantle. Wood animal ornaments and felt angels. Tinsel and beads, delicate glass ornaments, strings of lights, and lots of pine and poinsettias—that's an old fashioned country Christmas. This kit will take you back in memories or forward to the memories you make this Christmas. Here you will find ribbons and bows, candles and tags, wooden ornaments and pretty papers. A very merry old fashioned Christmas whether it's at Grandma's house in the country or your home anywhere.

18 papers
4 worn torn papers
2 mats
1 pine page border
2 photo masks
88 elements and two full alphas, not all elements are shown on the previews.

PSP Mask Tutorial

I received an email last week requesting information on how to use a photomask in Paint Shop Pro. I sat down and wrote a tutorial for using and making masks, thinking I would eventually get it posted here on my blog. I went ahead and saved the tutorial as a pdf and emailed it to the dear lady who asked me for the information. Well, I haven't gotten it posted, and, truthfully, just don't want to take the time to upload all those graphics, then write the post and insert the graphics. To that end, I am offering the tutorial pdf for download. In it I describe how I use masks to make papers and how to use photomasks. I also give some information about how and where to save masks. In the process of making the tutorial, I made a Christmas paper, and I am giving the paper away as a freebie as well. Click on the preview to download the paper. Click on the link below the preview to download the tutorial pdf. Please take a moment to leave a comment and let me know if is helpful or you like the paper. Thanks.

Well, I missed NSD

Yep, missed it big time. Didn't set any sale, didn't post a freebie. It wasn't deliberate—I just had other things occupying my mind, and I missed it. Can I make up for it? I think I'll try. I have several new kits in my store at Ahhh Scrap. I have an awesome new CT which I'll introduce in a new post. But first, I want to tell you about my kit, She Works Hard for the Money.

Photobucket

But as Michelle, a member of my CT so well showed, it can be used for more than just women at work. Look at these really cute layouts she did of her son.

She did a great job with the layouts of her son which shows how versatile the kit really is.

Now for your freebie.Actually a new freebie and an old freebie. I have some new quickpages for you and a link on this blog for the sampler kit. The previews are linked.

The quickpages are made for teaching, waiting tables, farming, and office work.

Something's Weird with Blogger

I have been downloading a few freebies today, and I can't leave any comments!!! I cleared my cookies yesterday, and am logged into blogger, but whenever I try to leave a comment, it does nothing. Now what? I'm trying to nice and grateful, and Blogger won't let me!

Update. The problem apparently was in turning off accepting third party cookies. It is now back on. Maybe others will be able to comment here now, too.
